Continued Rebrand

In order to combine our verticals into a single, central access hub, we needed a new top-level brand. That brand is Continued.

Background

This project required collaboration with every department in the company. No detail was overlooked as we redesigned every page of our marketing websites and built out new products and features in our application for every learning space.

  • I led all UI and website design for this project. My team and I put together 100+ mockups along with multiple prototypes built in Invision and HTML + Javascript.
  • The marketing websites on each of our verticals were redesigned and the front-end code completely overhauled to improve responsive layouts.
  • Our learning application was also given a brand new layout with vertical navigation and a new dashboard (see designs below).

Planning & Research

Months of planning and discussion went into this project, and every department collaborated to make it possible. Because we have multiple products, and various entry points to those products, research and user flows were required to improve our sign up process and eliminate user pain points.

  • New user sign up process for memberships and career center
  • Website layout and content strategy for homepage and supporting pages
  • A comprehensive UI style guide to build out new CSS for the project

User Sign Up

A new user sign up process was designed to be more fluid and get users to payment faster. Shifting the profile section to after payment increased conversion rates, which was tested beforehand in an A/B test in VWO.

Evolution of Design

Once our general layout was decided, we moved on to design. Multiple design iterations were created and reviewed with various departments to determine the direction to go in.

  • Homepage redesign — our most important customer-facing page
  • Complete redesign of our course library structure and UI
  • 100+ mockups and Invision prototypes for logged-in and logged-out views

Dashboard

One of the major objectives within the continued rebrand project was to separate our learning application from the marketing website. The solution to this was a logged-in view that changed the look and feel to an application interface with vertical navigation.

The dashboard within this view is a new addition that allows users to get the most important information front and center. If you've signed up for a live webinar, you can see exactly when it's going to begin and click directly through to the event. If you have pending courses, you can now see those at a glance and continue exactly where you left off with one click or tap.

The navigation automatically collapses for mobile devices and is entirely dynamic based on user type, membership status, and Career Center options.
